A Ball for Her Highness (Serena)

If Serena thought she had lived all she could on a night then Haley got up of her chair and told everyone she had a ‘female emergency’ for the first time in her life. Serena tried to hide on her seat and blushed deeply red. She texted Dan and it was along the lines of a ‘please save me now!’ But it wouldn’t matter because no one could save her that night. Did she just told everyone on a royal ball she had the period? Serena could barely believe but she forced herself to smile and eat just like Haley was doing. She wanted to be somewhere else; it had been long ago since she had jumped on a plane just for the pleasure of it and went to Paris, Las Vegas… London… whatever the place she just wanted to not be there. A light bulb switched on in her head, after the messy ball and everything she could just ask for a private jet, call Jason and disappear, he was the one she was having fun with lately and he was always there when she needed, what better gift than a trip wherever the hell he wanted to go?

Now if something happened there… it would stay there. Jason had been truly sweet when Serena was down, he cared for her and always supported her on everything and he did it just because he wanted to, that was something people in her circle lacked of. If they were nice to you, if they did something for you, it was because they wanted something in return, and no doubt he felt uncomfortable around her because of the money thing but he had never shown her any sign of wanting something for all the help. You didn’t need to tell them exactly that, I mean, no one needed to know that. She told Haley after she had forced herself to eat and laugh so people will just stop staring at them. Her mind was now wandering around where to go; Paris was too romantic, maybe Italy? Maybe London? They were good choices, in London they could go to musicals and such, maybe Rome and Venice were far too romantic for just friends.

She had never go with Dan to any of these places, she had always go alone and Dan was sure too busy to leave town now because he had classes to attend to, besides she didn’t want to go with Dan, she didn’t want to go alone either, and so the only one choice she got left was him. Well, that wasn’t true really, but it was the only choice appealed to her and she so much wanted to spend some quality time alone with him without worrying about having to meet someone later or Dan finding them together or whatever. Sure she wasn’t going to tell anyone about it, she will call Jason, tell him to move his ass with some clothes over her house, pick her car and go to the private jet and just forget and leave everything behind. She used to do that when problems got the best of her, just like it had happened when her brother tried to kill himself. I hope everyone is having fun, and don’t worry, I don’t think they will talk about it… much. But she knew, the princess first period was going to be the joke of the night, and she had been on it all.
