cause the last time you saw me
is still burned in the back of your mind
------------------------------ you gave me roses and i left them there to die
so this is me swallowing my pride
standing in front of you saying sorry

She was bored, so bored, she didn’t know what to do, she just knew she had to get out of the house and now. So walking to her closet and taking her Tory Burch stripped wool sweater and her breathless low-rise jeans, with her Burberry cotton-twill trench coat and her Fendi ankle boots she was ready to go get some ice-cream. Serena threw into her Marc Jacobs Garbo Camille satchel some money and her keys and went out of the door. She didn’t feel like taking a car o a taxi, so her decision was walking to some place near and warm. New York was too cold during winter to be on the streets but the city never died, there were cars and people everywhere, with bags on their hands for the Christmas shopping, which reminded her she had to do some shopping too. She didn’t know what to get Dan though, but she will find it when she saw it. Unfortunately for her, the best place to get a yummy ice-cream was near Central Park and she had a long walk there. She could have just went to Starbucks and get some coffee or stayed home and asked her maid to bring her some ice cream but where was the fun in that?
So when she got to the ‘Il laboratorio del gelato’ she was cold and hungry for the walk. She asked for a champagne sorbet, nothing better for a cold weather. She could have gone for a hot chocolate but that was so typical. She sat there, watching at the people pass by and just sipping from her sorbet wondering what to get Dan for Christmas or if they were going to last as much. This time she was going to work on it, she was going to get it right and she won’t let anything get on the way. Lately she was thinking too much about Dan, but what else to think? He was very important for her, she just couldn’t go and ditch him when they were having another chance, which was pretty much going to end when their parents get married. Serena sighed, maybe going out wasn’t what she needed. Then she saw her, she was waiting for her ice-cream and she looked pretty but her clothes… she couldn’t help but get her eyes on her, because she was so much like the kind of girl she would help. Blair and her always had a project, some kind of bet on if they could transform a little normal girl in an It girl and in how much time. Blair would love that girl for the project, and she had nothing better to do anyway, she could use so fun, lately everything was so boring.
Serena got up and told the guy to pay that one on her and smiled to the girl. She had lost her shame long ago, when she had nothing to lose and right now she had nothing to do, and she much better used her time on something or she would be forced to go back home and just wait until it was late enough to go to the Bar and drink her ass off. Maybe she could go with Chuck and have a party on his suite, like the old times, and she could call Dan and hookup that night and get cozy in her bedroom while her mom was with his dad getting everything ready for the wedding of the year. "Hey, I’m Serena." She said introducing herself to the girl with an easy smile, she didn’t have to say her surname, for sure the girl will know her, everyone around town knew who Serena Van der Woodsen was, which was something her mother didn’t like much. "Why don’t you sit with me? I can use some company right now." The girl could thought she was nuts, but maybe she would throw a fit about being with the It girl of Manhattan elite, which was what most of the people who were outside the circle did, they all blessed their luck and tried to get the most of their little chance in the spotlight.
